The SMS Group Ltd. is a Maltese family business which had started in the 1860's with offices in Malta's Capital, Valletta, located only 300 feet away from the city's Grand Harbor. In 1996, the group set up a separate company SMS International Shore Operations, Ltd. to cater for various operations related to servicing cruise vessels.
Buoyed by a continuous flow of unsolicited commendations and references on our professional approach and eye for detail, in 2011 SMS ventured beyond the Atlantic and set up its headquarters for SMS International Shore Operations at the "Cruise Capital of the World", PortMiami, Florida. By 2012, SMS International Shore Operations was appointed by Norwegian Cruise Line for the handling of their cruise vessels in Miami.
Presently, SMS International Shore Operations provides services for not only for Norwegian Cruise Line but also for AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruise Line, Crystal Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, Holland America Line, MSC Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Princess Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Seabourn, Silversea, Viking Cruises, Virgin Voyages, and The World in the United States of America.

Samuel is the younger son of the SMS GROUP's Chairman - Neville Mifsud - and brother of Simon, who both occupy posts of Managing Directors in the Malta set-up.
Sam is a self-motivated person with a wide range of experience in various spheres of industry, but more recently specialized in tourism and the cruise industry.
He is responsible for all the group's tourism/travel related operations including SMS Tourism, SMS (UK) Ltd., Holiday Malta (UK Tour Operator owned by the group), SMS International Shore Operations Europe (Malta, Italy, UK, The Netherlands, Tunisia, Copenhagen and Ireland), SMS International Shore Operations U.S. Inc., English Language Academy Ltd. (English language school in Malta) and other related joint ventures.
